Position Summary:
The Controller is responsible to manage the day-to-day accounting activities. They provide financial information about the companies activities and will assist management in making educated economic decisions about the company’s future. They are responsible for assisting in the development of and distribution of monthly financial statements for the organization. They also help with any outside audits as they arise. They have responsibility for the accounting staff.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee the activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits and annual budgets.
- Participate in budget preparation with the management team using fact-based projections. Review and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification for proposed budgets.
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements and related reports (including but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow reports/projections and variance analysis) to management team.
- Work closely with lenders and provide accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee the activities of the disbursement department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, employee expense reports, cash control, payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance.
- Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, etc.; funding service management, which includes weekly funding reports and customer service; quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports; and check statistic management.
- Assure corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes.
- Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value.
- Guide financial decisions and protect assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls, policies and procedures.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

Critical Functional Skills & Knowledge:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Experience:
· Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in accounting/finance
· Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
· Experience with financial reporting requirements
Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Intermittent physical activity including but not limited to bending, reaching, and prolonged periods of sitting. Includes working for extended periods of time at computer or laptop and will be required to use a keyboard to enter and gather information. Incumbent will be required to work at an IRG facility and be responsible for their own transportation to and from work site. Incumbent work schedule will be based on the needs of IRG & Affiliates.
